Canceling your YouTube Premium subscription is simple, but the steps depend on how you signed up. Follow the instructions below to stop your subscription and avoid future charges.
Cancel YouTube Premium on Desktop
- Go to the YouTube website
- Log in to your account
- Click your profile icon (top right)
- Click Purchases and memberships
- Find YouTube Premium
- Click Manage membership
- Click Deactivate
- Select Continue to cancel
- Confirm cancellation
Your Premium benefits will remain active until the end of your billing period.
Cancel YouTube Premium on iPhone or Android
If subscribed through YouTube (direct billing)
- You must cancel using a browser (desktop or mobile browser)
- Follow the desktop steps above
If subscribed through Apple (iPhone)
- Open Settings
- Tap your name
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select YouTube Premium
- Tap Cancel Subscription
If subscribed through Google Play (Android)
- Open Google Play Store
