Canceling your Spotify Premium subscription is quick and can be done in a few steps. Follow the instructions below based on how you subscribed.
Cancel Spotify on Desktop (Recommended)
- Go to the Spotify website
- Log in to your account
- Click your profile icon (top right)
- Select Account
- In the sidebar, click Your plan
- Click Change plan
- Scroll down and click Cancel Premium
- Confirm cancellation
Your Premium access will remain active until the end of your billing period.
Cancel Spotify on iPhone or Android
Spotify subscriptions are usually managed through their website, not the app.
If you subscribed through Spotify directly:
- You must cancel using a browser (steps above)
If you subscribed through Apple or Google:
iPhone (App Store)
- Open Settings
- Tap your name
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select Spotify
- Tap Cancel Subscription
Android (Google Play)
- Open Google Play Store
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap Payments & subscriptions
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select Spotify
- Tap Cancel subscription
Important Notes
- You will not lose Premium immediately after canceling
- Your account will revert to the free plan after the billing period ends
- Playlists and saved music will remain in your account
Common Issues
No cancel option visible
This usually means your subscription is managed by a third party (Apple, Google, or telecom provider).
Still being charged
Check if you have multiple accounts or used a different email.
